As I only charge a lump sum of money for booking and my guidance fee for all of my Tours my goal is to allow you to pay the real cost of your stay in Madagascar as like you are traveling by yourselves. There is no extra cost for your Hotels, domestic flights, cars and drivers…

1. When you buy a package tour, please check very carefully what is including and what is excluding !
Some package seems to be very cheap but doesn’t include anything else than a car and a driver.

- Transfer from the Airport to the Hotel and from the Hotel to the Airport
- Hotels (Bed only)
- Cars with fuel and drivers
- Entrance of Parks and Reserves
- Boatmen for canoeing
- Dug out canoes for the river trip
- Food and mineral water for 2 or 3 nights camping (Along the River or in Mountain)
- Porters for Mountain hikes
AND DOES NOT INCLUDE:
- Your food and drinks except for camping along the River or for Camping in Mountain.
- Your guidance fee in the National Parks and Reserves.

2. Entrance Visa and extension :
You must have your entrance Visa with a round trip ticket
You can also have your visa at the Airport by paying 50 Euros
NB: The longest visa you can get is for 3 months.
For Visa extension, you HAVE to fly out of Madagascar for another request then fly back.

3. There are ATM in every big city :
Tana - Antsirabe - Morondava (West Coast) - Fianarantsoa - Tulear (South) - Tamatave (East Coast) - Majunga (West Coast)
NB: VISA Credit Card is the best one to bring with.
MASTER CARD is rejected in many places.

4. You always need cash with you
1 Euro = 2500 Ariary = 12500 MGF (MalaGasy Francs)
Ariary is the Local currency
1 Ariary = 5 Malagasy francs
Cost of food and mineral water :
1,5 liters of mineral water: 50 Cents of Euros; 60 Cents in places far away from Tana.
Breakfast: from 3 Euros to 6 Euros; can be more in very luxurious Restaurant
Lunch and diner: from 4 Euros to 12 Euros; can be more in very luxurious Restaurant.

5. Banks and Shops Days and Hours :
- Banks open from Monday to Friday
8: 00 AM to 4: 00 PM
- Supermarkets, Shops and Boutiques open from Monday to Saturday (until Sunday morning for the Supermarkets)
8: 00 AM to 6: 00 PM

6. The Weather :
- The weather is only bad from the middle of January to the end of February.
Being an Island, there can be cyclones between February and March .
Without any cyclones, you can come to Visit Madagascar from March when the nature is still fresh and to avoid the crowded June to September.
- The East Coast of Madagascar has the Rainforests of the Island where there is microclimate: sudden drizzles, short but heavy rain…
So you need to bring light but waterproof raincoat.
Madagascar is a warm country: You need hats and flip flaps when travel and boots for trekking

7. Medical precautions :
- Please, before coming, contact your doctor for tablets or medicines against Malaria and for other medicines you may personally need to always have with you when you travel.
- If you have height sick, you can only visit the Small Tsingy and the Gorge of Manambolo River for the TSINGY OF BEMARAHA TOUR as in the Big Tsingy there is one suspended bridge each in the 2 hikes available.
